  10. Customizing:
  11. You can place any bitmap or PNG file in Presets subfolder and set it in ClocX's 
  12. options as background. Additional backgrounds can be downloaded from Download
  13. section of ClocX homepage.
  14. When using BMP image, ClocX window is cutted by predefined color (default RED (RGB 255,0,0)). 
  15. You can define many preset properties like cutting color and properties of hand
  16. in .INI file named as your background (INI extension instead of BMP/PNG). Simply
  17. copy default.ini to yourbitmap.ini (when you have yourbitmap.bmp or yourbitmap.png) 
  18. and edit it.

  21. Uninstalling:
  22. 1. Automatic - use Uninstall shortcut or Uninstall.exe in ClocX's directory
  23. OR
  24. 2. Manual
  25.   - Uncheck "Start with Windows" and "Start with login" checkboxes in Options.
  26.   - Optionally, you can delete ClocX's registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BonSoft\ClocX).

  31. If you find any bugs or have any good ideas for improving this program, please
  32. send an e-mail to clocx <@> atlas <.> cz (without <> and spaces, no spam please).

  34. Known bugs:
  35. Some people report problems with Background combo box (drop list) in Options
  36. dialog. I don't have any idea what can cause it because I have no problems with
  37. it. Probably, you still will be able to select backgrounds with arrow keys after
  38. selecting Background combo box.

  41. Performance tips:
  42. Run ClocX with -benchmark or -bench2 parameters to test your max frame rate.
  43. ClocX's CPU usage can be minimized by these steps:
  44. -disable antialiasing or try use other method
  45. -Smaller clocks are faster than bigger (don't zoom to big size)
  46. -Do not use backgrounds with PNG hands (like mx-clocx.png)
  47. -Disable second hand in Options (ClocX will be redrawed with less frequency)
  48. -Disable showing AM/PM and Date indicators
  49. -Win2k/XP: use 32-bit color depth (PNGs are drawn faster)
  50. -Win2k/XP: PNGs are drawn slower than BMPs due to use of per-pixel alphablending
