  1. The file TRASHCAN.NPI is a sample of a NeoDesk Program information File
  2. which can be used with the Recoverable Trashcan.
  3.  
  4. This NPI file is helpful because it sets the "Extended argument passing"
  5. method, and therefore makes sure that you will be able to drag any number
  6. of items to the Recoverable Trashcan when running it as a NeoDesk Program
  7. (NPG) rather than as a desk accessory.

  9. To use this NPI, you should:
  10.  
  11. 1. Copy it to a convenient location, probably in the same directory as
  12.    TRASHCAN.NPG.
  13.  
  14. 2. Select it by clicking on it once, and choose the "Program Info File..."
  15.    option. This will show you the attributes of the file.

  17. 3. You must click on the "Program..." button in this dialog and choose
  18.    TRASHCAN.NPG from the item selector. Otherwise, the NPI will not work
  19.    properly.

  21. 4. Click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the dialog.

  23. 5. Instead of having an icon for TRASHCAN.NPG on the desktop, you should
  24.    have one for TRASHCAN.NPI. You can, of course, use the "Install Desktop
  25.    Icon..." option to rename this icon once it is on the desktop.
