TRU PAINT ATARI STFM/STE/TT/FALCON (ALL RESOLUTIONS)
(1 MEG. MINIMUM)
YO !!!!!
Having briefly looked at TruPaint, on my 4 meg STFM, I think that
it's an amazing piece of software. there are a few drawbacks when
using an ST though. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you attempt
to use the OVERSCAN function fron the menus. This works OK on a
TT or FALCON, but nt on an ST, it blanks the screen and totally
freezes the machine. The only way out of this is to switch off
and re-boot. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I do think
that Hi-Soft could have made the program auto-detect which machine
was being used, so that this function could not be accessed from
within an ST.
The TruPaint files that are on the disks (.TPI, and .TPA extensions)
will not load into any standard ST, ie; with no special graphics
card on board.
Memory permitting, you can have as many files as you like loaded
up at the same time, and all files load into all resolutions. Any
colour pictures loaded into Hi Res are dithered as they are loading.
Whether you are in full screen or window mode, you can scroll
about the the picture using the cursor keys, or use [shift] to
scroll larger amounts at a time.
You do not need to use the INSTALL.PRG file, this is mainly meant
for owners of the FALCON, so that they can install it onto their
hard drive.
That's all I've got time for at the moment. If you have any problems
with this software, just ask at the ST FACTORY, and they may be
able to help.
A big HI!!! to all out there who know me, SHIFT, DATA, WORF,
ZIPPY (or whatever your calling yourself now!), and everyone else.
CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
