  176.     TIFF-SM.EFX is supplied as a cut-down TIFF EFM; it only supports
  177.     Packbits and LZW style compression. This saves some 150K in size!

  179.     _Many_ ST/TT/Falcon TIFF reading products fail to implement
  180.     (either at all or incorrectly) many of TIFF's baseline features
  181.     or common extensions. If whilst saving a TIFF image you hold
  182.     down the Control key the TIFF EFMs will restrict themselves to
  183.     _strictly_ uncompressed TIFF 6.0 baseline features (normally its
  184.     uses the more relaxed TIFF 5.0 baseline model); this _may_ allow
  185.     you to import your image into one of these packages.
  186.     Note that we have tested TIFF files output by TruePaint in Aldus
  187.     Freehand 3.1, Adobe Photoshop 2.0, Microsoft Word 5.0 & Aldus
  188.     Pagemaker 4.0 on the Mac, and in Paintshop Pro on the PC. All
  189.     TIFF files, written by TruePaint, which we tested imported
  190.     correctly into these products.
