  5.   The ammount of file  types  hovering 
  6. around for the ST is  huge,  sometimes 
  7. when  you  get  p.d.  disks  from  the 
  8. libraries  there can be the  odd  file 
  9. lying  around that dosen't seem to  be 
  10. attached  to  anything.   So  starting 
  11. this issue we'll start explaining some 
  12. of  the more recognised extenders  and 
  13. move  on to some of the  lesser  known 
  14. ones next time.

  48. extender is either renamed to .BAK  or
