WELCOME TO STOSSER
ISSUE FIVE : AUGUST 1993
Yet another change round this month
i am afraid, As you may have already
gathered from the opening screen, And
the scroller, Steve Gooding is no
longer the Editor of this Diskzine.
Unfortunatly Steve has had to stop
doing the Editing for us, But i would
like to say thanks a lot Steve for all
the Help over the months.
Keith Dunn ( Keefy ) will now be
taking over all the Editing duties, So
please address all letters, Articles,
Reviews, Complaints etc etc to him.
If you have written to STOSSER but
not yet seen your work in the Zine
then please get in touch with Keefy.
Thirty six ( 36 ) Files for you to
read this month, Only nine of them are
Reviews. The rest cover all manner of
Subjects. All should have some
relation to STOS, If you have recently
got the Missing Link Extension then
the Tutorial on it by Billy Allan is a
must, Theres some STOS Bits files by
Martin Cubitt that cover quite a few
points i, and most others dont know
about. Definetly a must those, There
is of course the next STOS Basic
Tutorial by William Morrison for all
those that are following that one.
We are finally getting enough mail
coming in to start a Letters page, So
thats one for all you nosey people out
there to have a look at! Please do
keep the Letters coming, And if you
want to write but do not want your
letter printing then please tell us
and we of course will not print it.
There was one odd letter that has
prompted me to make clear the
following:
ALL READABLE FILES, IE: ARTICLES,
REVIEWS, TUTORIALS, etc, ARE COPYRIGHT
TO STOSSER DISKZINE UNLESS OTHERWISE
STATED.
That means no, you CANNOT copy them
for your own Diskzine, Ho hum!
Looks like we have a winner for the
Competition, For the last two months i
have put in a hidden screen, The first
months prize of Ten Disks of P.D. Was
not claimed and therefore carried
forward to issue four, To be honest
only one Viable entry has been
recieved, If you Contribute in any way
to STOSSER Diskzine then you are not
able to Enter,
Issue Fours hidden screen was
accessed by going to the last page on
the menu, Then pressing the key for
next page, But NOT the arrow key,
You could also have found it by
stopping the scroller with the word
STOSSER Visible on the screen , It
had to be the whole word.
So the winner of Ten disks full of
Public Domain Programs, Plus STOS
Sprite 600 is
J.B.Hornby
60 Crumpsall Street
Abbey Wood
LONDON SE2 OLR
J.B. Wrote to me on August the Fourth
and also included the tiebreaker
sentance of
I LOVE STOSSER BECAUSE...It has given
me more interest in the 4 issues than
all the other ST Publications over the
past couple of years,
He should recieve his prize by about
the time STOSSER 5 is released, Well
done J.B.!
As there was not a great response to
the hidden screen idea i have dropped
it from the Zine.
Hopefully you have also noticed that
Martin Cubitt has taken over the
problems section of STOSSER, So all
problems to him as he is an experienced
programmer, He has even wrote his own
Extension and has given us the first
publication of it, With over forty new
commands it is a must.
Well i hope you enjoy this Diskzine
as much as we enjoy making it,
Remember it is Public Domain and no
one is making a Profit out of it, So
spread it!
This is Tony Greenwood Signing
off.............Bye!..........10\08\93
