  4.        ISSUE FIVE : AUGUST 1993

  6.   Yet another change round this  month 
  7. i am afraid,  As you may have  already 
  8. gathered from the opening  screen, And 
  9. the  scroller,  Steve  Gooding  is  no 
  10. longer the Editor of this Diskzine.
  11.   Unfortunatly Steve has had  to  stop 
  12. doing the Editing for us,  But i would 
  13. like to say thanks a lot Steve for all 
  14. the Help over the months. 
  15.   Keith  Dunn ( Keefy )  will  now  be 
  16. taking over all the Editing duties, So 
  17. please address all  letters, Articles, 
  18. Reviews, Complaints etc etc to him.
  19.   If you have written to  STOSSER  but 
  20. not  yet  seen your work in  the  Zine 
  21. then please get in touch with Keefy.
  22.  
  23.    Thirty six ( 36 ) Files for you  to 
  24. read this month, Only nine of them are 
  25. Reviews.  The rest cover all manner of 
  26. Subjects.   All   should   have   some 
  27. relation to STOS, If you have recently 
  28. got  the Missing Link  Extension  then 
  29. the Tutorial on it by Billy Allan is a 
  30. must,  Theres some STOS Bits files  by 
  31. Martin  Cubitt that cover quite a  few 
  32. points i,  and most others  dont  know 
  33. about.  Definetly a must those,  There 
  34. is  of  course  the  next  STOS  Basic 
  35. Tutorial  by William Morrison for  all 
  36. those that are following that one.

  38.    We are finally getting enough  mail 
  39. coming in to start a Letters page,  So 
  40. thats one for all you nosey people out 
  41. there  to have a look at!   Please  do 
  42. keep the Letters  coming,  And if  you 
  43. want  to  write but do not  want  your 
  44. letter  printing then please  tell  us 
  45. and we of course will not print it.

  47.   There  was one odd letter  that  has 
  48. prompted   me   to  make   clear   the 
  49. following:

  51.   ALL READABLE  FILES,  IE:  ARTICLES, 
  52. REVIEWS, TUTORIALS, etc, ARE COPYRIGHT 
  53. TO  STOSSER DISKZINE UNLESS  OTHERWISE 
  54. STATED.

  56.   That means no, you CANNOT  copy them 
  57. for your own Diskzine, Ho hum!

  59.  
  60.   Looks like we have a winner for  the 
  61. Competition, For the last two months i 
  62. have put in a hidden screen, The first 
  63. months prize of Ten Disks of P.D.  Was 
  64. not  claimed  and  therefore   carried 
  65. forward  to issue four,  To be  honest 
  66. only   one  Viable  entry   has   been 
  67. recieved, If you Contribute in any way 
  68. to  STOSSER Diskzine then you are  not 
  69. able to Enter, 
  70.  Issue   Fours  hidden    screen   was 
  71. accessed by going to the last page  on 
  72. the menu, Then  pressing  the key  for 
  73. next  page, But   NOT  the  arrow key,  
  74. You  could  also  have  found  it  by 
  75. stopping the  scroller  with  the word 
  76. STOSSER  Visible  on  the  screen , It 
  77. had to be the whole word.

  79.   So the winner of Ten disks  full  of 
  80. Public  Domain  Programs,   Plus  STOS 
  81. Sprite 600 is

  89. and   also  included  the   tiebreaker 
  90. sentance of
  91.  I LOVE STOSSER BECAUSE...It has given 
  92. me more interest in the 4 issues  than 
  93. all the other ST Publications over the 
  94. past couple of years,

  96.  He should recieve his prize by  about 
  97. the time STOSSER 5 is  released,  Well 
  98. done J.B.!

  100.  As there was not a great response  to 
  101. the hidden screen idea i have  dropped 
  102. it from the Zine. 
  103.  
  104.  Hopefully you have also noticed  that 
  105. Martin  Cubitt  has  taken  over   the 
  106. problems  section of STOSSER,  So  all 
  107. problems to him as he is an experienced 
  108. programmer,  He has even wrote his own 
  109. Extension  and has given us the  first 
  110. publication of it, With over forty new 
  111. commands it is a must.

  113.   Well i hope you enjoy this  Diskzine 
  114. as   much  as  we  enjoy  making   it, 
  115. Remember  it is Public Domain  and  no 
  116. one is making a Profit out of  it,  So 
  117. spread it!
