Tony's Article
17\04\93
Well here we are again (already) it
does'nt seem all that long ago that i
was writing the article for issue one,
You have seen issue one havent you
well this ones bigger and better , for
a start it's got more reviews and
articles for you to read plus hopefully
more giveaway's, as promised i have
included the source for issue one, you
will need misty installed in order to
run it in stos , you will also need the
files from issue one if you want to see
the doc reader in action , all the
files in every issue will be in the A
folder and called A1 to A?,
As you can see we have a red theme
today , (that's supposed to be blood
dripping down on the menu screen !), if
you remember it was all grey last month
and im thinking of blue for issue three
but i havent decided yet ,
Well nothing has arrived through my
door from all you STOSSER'S out there
yet but i had an idea there wouldn't be
much response from the first issue as
most wont know it's available yet ,but
as you are reading this then it must be
getting about ! , there are a couple of
extra names in the CONTAX section,
Plus some advertisement's in the !!!!!
No problems have arrived for the Q & A
section , i was thinking of making a
few up to make the section look good
but the only place i could take them
from really are the magazines and
you've all probably seen them anyway,so
i'll just have to wait until some real
ones arrive wont i ,,
Incidently if you read my article in
last months you will know i wrote to
MANDARIN with the view to contacting
someone there a maximum of once a month
asking for help for the Q & A section ,
just the problems i or anyone reading
couldn't sort out , you probably know
what's coming next,,,,,,yes im still
waiting for a reply,
So i decided to pay for another stamp
and write again this time telling them
exactly what i think of them, i did'nt
go over the top or anything i simply
pointed out that it was alright if
they did'nt want to help but it was
disgusting that they did not have the
decency to write and let me know etc ,
so we will see if that prompts them to
at least write to me , i will keep you
informed that way we will all have an
idea of what the makers of STOS
actually think of their customers !!!!!
The music you have probably turned off
by now is by MAD MAX as is most of the
tunes that are being given away on this
month's disk ( see GIVE AWAYS section )
I hope you dont mind using keys this
month for the menu , it was mouse
driven last month and i'll probably go
back to that for next month, one thing
i hate is drop down menus ( GEM ) so
boring dont you think,so you'll not see
them while im doing the menu YUK !!
£3.40 for ST USER this month , thats
gone up a bit , i got the STZIP V2.2
and if enough routines etc arrive for
the diskzine i'll try archiving them
with it that way you will get
absoloutely loads of free stuff , but
its got to come in before i can send it
out,
The power of advertising..... i only
asked in the first issue for someone to
take over the learning basic section for
me and i have had a result already , So
as from next month this series will be
taken over by William Morrison.. many
thank's and welcome to the team William
By the way i have just found out that
the new ST FM's that are being produced
(you know the £159 er's) well they will
be fitted with TOS 1.04 , Damm thats
better than my operating system
TOS 1.02
HO HUM preston lost again this week ,
nothing to do with stos but i thought i
might feel better telling somebody ,
but i dont , HO HUM
Right this is Tony Greenwood signing
off
Bye Bye STOSSER'S
