  19. ...just as  well this reviewer doesn't pay too much attention to what's already 
  20. been said.

  22.  Billy boy is, I've been told to remind everyone, a kiddies platformer, nothing 
  23. more nothing less,  the general idea of BB is to run around collecting goodies, 
  24. avoiding baddies and generally....try to complete the game.

  54.   So,  now you've seen what this cutsey little platformers all about  mabey  it 
  55. time to tell you what your eye's don't see.

  57.  Controlled by Joystick you must move Billy around the screen, jumping, running 
  58. and generally avoiding all the nasties.

  60.  BB is an  STe game  that will also  work on an FM but with no sampled sound. A 
  61. Minimum of One Meg is required to play, and of course a Joystick...not much use 
  62. without one really ;)

  64.  This is a nice and  simple  platform  game, simply  put, you find  yourself in 
  65. various enchanted lands.  You will need to  find the guardian who  will let you 
  66. out of your current land and...  straight back into another.

  70.  Along the  way collecting yellow stars  will enhance your  score, Pressing the 
  71. appropriate  buttons will eventualy  reveal a  pink Star and it is advisable to 
  72. collect this before completing each level.

  74.  The  Charactors roaming each  Land will reduce  your  energy if  you come into 
  75. close contact with them.  You can  jump on  most of them  sending them into the 
  76. ground, but they will work there way back to the surface.

  78.  Food can be found and collected to boost your energy levels,
  79.  
  80.  B.O.N.U.S. Baloons holding the  letters  to make up  the word  BONUS should be 
  81. collected, if at the end of  the level you  have the Bonus then  you will start 
  82. the next level with 100 health points, If not then you have your health, but if 
  83. less than 20 units then we will  increase it  to give  you  at least a sporting 
  84. chance, carefull! baloons with no letters can seriously damage your health.

  86.  So, with the help of the game's  docs (above) I can  now move on to one of the 
  87. high points of BB.....the  samples. There great...terrific and cute, so cute in 
  88. fact that you'll want to grab hold of BB  and give him a hug...  O.k., so mabey 
  89. not, but they are seriously well sampled, clear andsmooth, none of the cracling 
  90. you might expect from some 'ingame' samples I could mention.

  92.  Billy Boy is commentware which  makes this extremely good V.F.M., all you have 
  93. to do is  write  to the Artist,  Dean Chadwick and let him know  how  good  (or 
  94. bad...if that's your opinion of it) you thought BB was,  in return,  as long as 
  95. you leave either your name and address (along with S.S.A.E. if your writting to 
  96. him) or an e-mail/netmail address you'll be sent along a personalised Key, this 
  97. key will be for your copy of BB only,  in fact,  Tony has challenged anyone  to 
  98. try to crack the registration key...how's THAT for confidence....

  102. Graphics           - 91% Very nice and atmospheric....and colourful.

  104. Sound (music)      - 70% It's chip.

  106. Sound (samples)    - 93% Very clear and understandable, great quality also.

  108. Gameplay           - 63% + 90% Hm, the former for me personally.....but my Son,  
  109.                      Kristian loves it so his score is the latter.

  111. Lastability        - 72% It's fun....for a while.
