  15.             Indeed we are here once again, late as usual too..

  17. Not a huge amount to say at the moment,  as I've expended myself all over 
  18. the main texts, and scrolltexts and hidden article question quest for the 
  19. Falcon  version  of  Maggie..  Consequently I'm as creatively  dry  as  a 
  20. watermelon  that has spent six years in the desert having its life  force 
  21. sucked out of it.. (Eh!)

  23. (Maggie  editor in LSD outrage!  - Home Secretary presses for very  heavy 
  24. slap on wrist!)

  26. At  this  time  (Sunday  evening),  I'm very nearly finished  on  the  ST 
  27. version,  and just awaiting the hidden article from Kev 'Taffy' Davies to 
  28. make  its  way through the vagaries of the E-Mail system..  Great  stuff, 
  29. this new technology,  a mailing to us that fails to un-encode properly, a 
  30. message travels back to Kev at approaching the speed of light,  then sits 
  31. around for three days, waiting to be answered.. Then the new mailing does 
  32. not  work either,  so another E-Mail goes back to Kev to say "Sorry mate, 
  33. it's padded envelope time!" - Postman Pat smiles knowingly in a smug,  'I 
  34. told  you so' sort of way as he eventually delivers the vital package  in 
  35. vans and on feet and things to my door??
  36.  
  37.           (Whither the Internet, is it all bollocks or what!?!)

  39. Postscript  to that:- Sorry Kev and Mike,  but your articles just did not 
  40. make  it  in time for this issue,  look forward to putting them in  issue 
  41. twenty though!

  43. Issue 19, so long in the making, the human race re-evolved into something 
  44. else  whilst  they were waiting,  something with the  attractiveness  and 
  45. mobility of a table lamp..  (Maggie Editor in more LSD outrage,  will the 
  46. youth of today never learn!)

  48. Specific Foul-Ups that plagued the making of this issue..

  50. 1. Waiting for articles in the post..
  51.  
  52. 2. Waiting for articles on E-Mail..
  53.  
  54. 3.  Getting corrupted files,  where articles once roamed, from the E-Mail 
  55. instead..
  56.  
  57. 4.  Having  to improvise emergency main menu pictures for both shells  as 
  58. Kev,  the normal graphics guy was unable to come up with the goods due to 
  59. a severe dose of overwork..
  60.  
  61. 5.  Maggie editor,  confronted with the task ahead,  mentally puts on his 
  62. suntan lotion, lies back and does nothing instead.. (Ah, didn't want that 
  63. one to go in..)

  65. Check  out  the cool articles on disk,  quite a lot of them too,  on  the 
  66. 'something for everyone' principle,  unless that 'someone' is very boring 
  67. with  no  sense  of  humour to speak of..  Also  several  nice  pictures, 
  68. following  on in the groundbreaking achievements of issue 18..  The music 
  69. is one of those 9-channel things made on the PC originally..
  70.  
  71. (Cool  News!  - Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley own up to marriage 
  72. failure..  It  was  all  a meaningless empty charade,  but  Michael  gets 
  73. custody of the children..  Then put into custody shortly afterwards!  But 
  74. who are we to speculate, eh!) (What, me dislike Michael Jackson?)

  76. Check  out the Goodies folder,  and the oh-so-helpful textfile that tells 
  77. you what is in there..

  79. A last minute apology, this issue does not quit out cleanly, not at least 
  80. on TOS 4.01.. Leon is working on a newer version of the Falcon shell, but 
  81. this is not ready yet.. It is a last minute apology, because that is when 
  82. we found out about this problem (at the last minute..)

  84. I'm really out of things to say now,  so let's wrap up and get this issue 
  85. kicked out into the big bad world!!
