  7. As you can see every day on  television
  8. the situation  in  Russia , and also in 
  9. all the states of the former  USSR , is 
  10. getting  worse and worse ...  With  the 
  11. price liberation  , people  is  totally 
  12. disapointed !   The  problem  is that , 
  13. with the  price liberation  , some  new 
  14. shops are  opening  but  prices  are so 
  15. expensive, that only  the strangers  on 
  16. trip in the USSR  are  able  to buy the  
  17. articles on !   The Medium  income of a
  18. Russian nowadays is of 35FF  it means a 
  19. bit less than seven dollars! Now , they 
  20. are all crying , and  soon they will be 
  21. fed up with Boris Eltsine. 
  22. Now , the Ex USSR is  totally dependant
  23. from other  countries  for  FOOD  and a 
  24. lot of other things ...  What a pity !!
  25. All the people  in  Ex USSR  are crying 
  26. for food ...  I know that  it is really
  27. horrible  for  them ,  but  Before when
  28. communist  were  there ,  according  to
  29. what I know , they  were not in need of 
  30. food , In this side , all  was good for
  31. them . But have a  look  at  the  today
  32. situation !  All the shops  are empty ! 
  33. last night  I've  seen a  little report 
  34. about all the people  making  the queue 
  35. for food . A girl  from  CNN  asked  to 
  36. two  old  sovietics  women   what  they
  37. thought  of  their   economic  problems
  38. their answer was  fast  and clear , for 
  39. them that was better before ,  with the
  40. communists .   At this time , everybody 
  41. was eating when  he wanted ,  the queue
  42. in front of shops were very rare !
  43. And in the shops  a lot of things  were
  44. buyable... That's not like now !
  45.  So I think that all the guys living in 
  46. the EX USSR  must stop the dream , that 
  47. is not with Boris Eltsine that the life 
  48. will be better . This  man  is a seller
  49. of illusion...  I also think  that  all
  50. the other republics of the EX USSR must 
  51. take care of the RUSSIA . As I can see,
  52. Boris Eltsine is trying to  concentrate 
  53. all the  army power in  RUSSIA !  I saw
  54. this guy like a real dictator . I think
  55. you have seen that in  RUSSIA , Eltsine 
  56. is owning a big quantity of powers...
  57. He is trying to catch  all the powers ,
  58. for a  simple  reason :  to do  what he 
  59. wants without being bothered by all the
  60. other guys.  Boris  Eltsine  was always
  61. criticizing  the  communists ,  but  in 
  62. reality he is worse than them .
  63. Let us talk about another point now,the
  64. destruction of the USSR .  Before , all
  65. was good in all the states , only  some
  66. problems   were    existing     between 
  67. different  people  living  on  the same
  68. state , but nothing of important. 
  69.  Now have a look in Georgia by example.
  70. It  is  already  only 15 days after the 
  71. end of the  USSR , the civil war !  and
  72. that is  not all , I am  sure  that  in 
  73. the coming months , the number of civil
  74. wars  will be more and more important , 
  75. first of all  I think  that  the people 
  76. will never have  the patience  to  wait
  77. a long time for the installation of the
  78. market economy . that's the first point
  79. and the second point is that ,  I don't 
  80. think that the red army , always united
  81. even  if it is  scattered  all over the 
  82. EX USSR  territory ,  will stay without 
  83. moving , in  front  of  the soon coming 
  84. total disaster . Yes, we are going to a 
  85. general disaster in all the EX USSR .
  86.  We must admit , that economicaly , all
  87. the states of the  EX USSR are not able
  88. to  survive alone .  All  of  them  are 
  89. owning  a special  resource , that  the 
  90. others republics  do not have . That is
  91. why  all  the  republics  will  crash ,
  92. the union  was essential  for  the good
  93. working of all the states !  What  will 
  94. happen   now   with   the   destruction 
  95. of this union. The  answer  is  easy to
  96. find guys !  The  social explosion will
  97. come in all the states , because of the
  98. weakness of the economy  ,  without the
  99. union .
  100.   But according  to you , how could you 
  101. explain  that  suddenly  ,  the country
  102. with as  much communists as the USSR is
  103. now empty  of them ?  Simple ! they are
  104. waiting  for  the  end  of  the storm , 
  105. as you might have heard on Radio  or TV
  106. Some  display  are  already  existing , 
  107. some guys living in  the  EX USSR  want
  108. the  return of  the communists...  I am 
  109. sure  that  the communists will be back 
  110. on the  USSR scene very soon , just and
  111. only  because , all the  things done by
  112. Eltsine  are   even   craper  that  the 
  113. things that were done before.  And also
  114. because  all  the  old communists can't 
  115. dissappear  by  magic  in  not even one
  116. year ! 
  117.  The  problem  of  Eltsine  is  that he
  118. thinks he is like Superman !  He thinks
  119. that alone he is  able to solve all the 
  120. problems . He is so wrong !
  121.  I  am not  at all for the communists ,
  122. I am  only  making some constatations .
  123. Before , all  was going  well in USSR ,
  124. everybody  was eating  one's fill , and
  125. now  that's a  fighter way  to  find  a
  126. bottle  of  vodka  ,  a bread  and  two 
  127. patatoes.... I will  not  talk a lot of  
  128. all the human rights problems . 
  129.  I  must admit  that before , in USSR , 
  130. they  were held up  to ridicule all the
  131. time . Now  that's better , in RUSSIA ,
  132. I am totally right .  But  have a  look 
  133. at  the  human  rights  in  georgia  by 
  134. example , or  , in   Armenia .  That is
  135. really as awful  now  that before  with
  136. the communists.
  137.  To end this reportage is RUSSIA I will
  138. pose the problem : What was better ?

  140.  - Live in USSR  with enough food , but 
  141. with some human rights problems ?
  142.

  145.  - Live  in   RUSSIA  nowadays  ,  with
  146. absolutely   nothing   to  eat  and  an
  147. enormous civil war risk ?

  159. communist system was  virtually perfect
  160. except a few little troubles  of  free-
  161. dom and human rights ?

  164. before summer 91.The difference is that
  165. nowadays medias can talk about all that
  166. happen in the east ! Lazyness , bribes,
  167. mafia & the nomenklatura  fucked up the
  168. system from the begining.
  169.   I am  not  an anti-communist, I liked
  170. Gorby  and  even Marx (!!!) and  I hate
  171. Eltsine  because  it seems  he wants to
  172. concentrate all the power for him.
  173.   But  I don't fear so much  for  CIS's
  174. future because the  country is  just in
  175. a period of  transition. That's  normal
  176. there's problems. But CIS is rich, they
  177. just  have  to  sell  their petrol  and
  178. foreign currencies will arrive...
  179.   The only  thing  I'm dreading  is the
  180. risk of civil wars.
