DeathMatch hack!

Tired of the same old boring deathmatches?
Do you want something new?
THEN HERE YOU GO!
This (hifrag5.deh) is a hack for the DOOM.EXE via the most excellent
program, DeHackEd v1.3. It is supposed to make multi-player deathmatches go
faster-paced and be more interesting...
I took a few liberties in making it....I went through several trials
and discarded ideas left and right, and what finally stands is a hack
meant to make the frag counter "roll-over" in a short period of time...
I juiced up all the weapons, except the plasma (see later for the reason)and
used the "rocket-->land-mine" idea, making them invisible and stationary..
this MAY be construed as a rip off of KABOOM.DEH (can't think of the author
right now, but thanx for the demo :), but I think that that is a good
idea for deathmatches....
I toyed with the idea of making a super-slow BFG blast that can be knocked
down and destroyed, but that caused too many lock-ups...so I sped up the
fire time (almost instant now) and made it take forever to "recharge"....
a good trade-off for those ressurrect-ambushers
The chaingun kicks butt now, and the shotgun is great too, but the plasma
I had to weaken...it fired too fast and moved too fast....I sped it up,
but give it the minimum damage....and for a little spice, I turned the players
into "possessed" guys....they look like barons, but the "evil spirits" are
exorcised when the host (your opponent ;) is killed....he starts to ooze
apart like the baron, but then changes back to a marine and keels over....
the slop effect is cool too...

my phone lines spend more time in DOOM-related stuff than it
does for voice-conversation
big hand to Chris Howse for helping to beta-test this thing...
he went shotgun-crazy on me, and that made me change a bunch of
things
also applause to whoever made DETHE1M1.WAD ...this is the ultimate deathmatch
WAD file....it looks just like a house, and I made this with the
weapon placements of that in mind, but it works for most others
except the original DOOM levels :(
oh, and the KABOOM, FLAME12, ARMY1 makers, I learned by looking at those
