Lesson 1. Pointing and Clicking
Move the mouse cursor into the
boxes marked Left and Right. This
is ~pointing~. In each box press
the corresponding button. The
box will turn black. This is
~clicking~.

Lesson 2. Double Clicking
~Double-clicking~ is another way to
select a screen item or perform
a command. To ~double-click~, click
the left button twice in quick
succession. The square should
change colors.

Lesson 3. Dragging
~Dragging~ refers to "grasping and moving" an
object. You ~drag~ in many applications to
move a screen item, select a section of text,
or change the size of an object, etc.

Point to the black square, hold
down the left button, and simul-
taneously move the mouse. You
are ~dragging~ the square.

Lesson 4. Sensitivity
~Sensitivity~ is the distance the cursor moves
in relation to the distance you move the
mouse.

Higher settings will let you move
faster and farther across the
screen in one short move. Lower
settings will slow the cursor
speed.
Experiment with different
~Sensitivity~ settings.

Lesson 5. Swap Buttons
~Swap Buttons~ lets you exchange
the left and right function
buttons. Click the ~Swap Buttons~
square. Now test the function of
the two buttons. They will be
switched.

Lesson 6. Acceleration
~Acceleration~ refers to the speed of the cursor
in relation to the speed you move the mouse.
This feature enables greater precision when
making short movements and greater speed when
making long movements.

"Docking" is the slowest of the
settings. "Hyperspace" is the
fastest.
Experiment with the different
settings.

Lesson 7. The Control Panel
The Control Panel is where you can alter the
mouse settings for Acceleration, Sensitivity,
Swap Left/Right Buttons, and Clicking Speed
(Windows only).

To enter the Control Panel in Windows click the
Mouse Control Panel icon. In DOS, type GDPANEL
at the DOS prompt and then the Control Panel
can be activated by pressing [Alt]+[Ctrl]+Left
button simultaneously.
