NETDIAL 2.32 READ ME FILE
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Description: NetDial is an Internet dialer for Microsoft Windows.
NetDial was made to replace packaged TCP/IP dial-up programs. NetDial
will call your host, log you in and start your TCP/IP package for you,
automatically. NetDial has many features, some of which are:
GENERAL:
Can be configured for up to 5 seperate connections, 300-256k baud
support, easy to use login scripting with user specified timeout
value, can redial up to 99 times or be set to '0' for 'call until
connected', on-line timer, log option to maintain a record of calls
made, time spent on-line, etc, built-in call log viewer/editor,
cumulative timer window, up to 5 startup programs that can be shut
down on hangup/exit (if desired), can parse IP and gateway address
for users with dynamic addressing.
Newest Features:
- NetDial can now support any number of login commands (vice the
previous limit of 6 wait/send pairs). Entire 'Login Script'
window has been upgraded.
- NetDial now recognizes "NO ANSWER" as well as "NO CARRIER"
for busy detection
- When system clock would change to new day (11:59:59pm to 12:00:00am),
NetDial would (STILL) sometimes abort with "Overflow" error. This
has (FINALLY) been fixed.
- Send CR with no wait/send strings sometimes caused mixed results. This
has been corrected.
- Can now pass number to dial via command line. For example,
"C:\NetDial\NetDial.Exe 1" will run NetDial and automatically call
connection 1. Valid arguments are 1-5.
Registration can now also be completed online at CompuServe through
the Shareware Registration Forum (GO SWREG). NetDial's ID # is 3528.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- 386 processor or better
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later
- 100% Hayes compatible modem
- 900kb free hard drive space
