  7. Version 1.42 is NOT a free upgrade for registered owners of version 1.2 or
  8. earlier.  Your version 1.2 and earlier registration number WILL NOT work with

  10. to purchase the upgrade.

  12. INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
  13.  
  14. The setup program provided by PageMaster installs all the 
  15. necessary components.  A program group will also be created from 
  16. which you can launch the application.
  17.  
  18. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  19.  
  20. For extensive help on any of the dialog boxes presented by the 
  21. Setup program during installation, press the F1 key or choose the 
  22. Help button in the dialog box.
  23.  
  24. To run Setup for installation of PageMaster:
  25.  
  26. 1.  If Windows is not already running, follow the procedure for 
  27.     starting Windows.  
  28. 2.  From the File Menu in the Program Manager, choose Run.  In 
  29.     the Command Line box, type the drive letter and path to the 
  30.     location of the PageMaster files, followed by \SETUP.  For 
  31.     example, "G:\DOWNLOADS\SETUP".
  32. 3.  Choose the OK button or press ENTER.

  34. THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
  35.  
  36. There are four steps to the installation process.  The Setup 
  37. program does the following:
  38.  
  39. 1. Asks you where to install PageMaster.  Its default location is
  40.    the C:\PAGEMSTR directory.  If this directory doesn't exist, 
  41.    Setup will create it for you.
  42. 2. Installs the PageMaster program files.
  43. 3. Creates a Program Group entitled "PageMaster" and places it in
  44.    the Program Manager window.
  45. 4. Notifies you that setup is complete.

  47. DOWNLOADING NEW VERSIONS
  48.  
  49. New versions of PageMaster are made available on CompuServe, America Online,
  50. and Internet on a regular basis.
  51.  
  52. If you do not subscribe to any of these services, you can download the
  53. latest version from the FoxFire BBS at (913) 722-6577 or (913) 722-3321.

  65. o Added support for VIM-Compliant EMail systems, including Lotus cc:Mail and
  66.   Lotus Notes.

  71.   is received on the Call Monitor modem.

  91.   PageMaster normally prompts the user to enter a message, one of the pre-
  92.   defined messages may be chosen instead.
  93. o Added a command line switch to turn on monitoring for events on startup.
  94. o Added the ability to schedule pages to be sent at a later date and time.
  95.   Scheduled pages may also be set to automatically re-schedule the same page
  96.   every day, week, month, or year.
  97. o When typing in a message to send to an alphanumeric pager, a display
  98.   is now available that indicates how many pages will be needed to send the
  99.   messages.  
  100. o Added Caller ID (CID) support to Call Monitoring.  Caller ID data (if
  101.   available) will be sent to the pager.  This requires a modem with Caller 
  102.   ID capability.

  107. o Added an additional data field for each pager.  The page list may
  108.   be sorted and searched on this field.
  109. o Fixed a bug that prevented PageMaster from sending any future pages if
  110.   the modem was in use by another application when the screen saver
  111.   activated.  The program would have to be stopped and restarted to
  112.   resume paging.
  113. o Added the ability to send messages to multiple alphanumeric pagers in a
  114.   single phone call if the pagers share a common access number.  In addition,
  115.   Email messages that are sent across multiple pages are now done with a
  116.   single phone call.
  117. o The view selection (All or Group) is now saved between runs of the
  118.   application.
  119. o Added support for alphanumeric paging systems that require a password.
  120. o For pages sent to alphanumeric pagers by Schedule+ reminders, added the
  121.   start and end time of the appointment.
