PMICS is for playing chess through the Internet Chess Server under OS/2.
It is not a chess game, but an interactive client for playing against
other people (and computers) connected to the internet site running ICS.
Currently this is chess.lm.com at port 5000.
PMICS supports access to the chess server via modem connection to a shell
account. Also, with the internet connection service in OS/2 Warp the
chess server can be accessed via tcp/ip slip.
Source code is provided and freely distributable under the GNU copyleft.
It is written in C++ and offers examples of how to build an application
using the GUI class libraries that come with C++/Set.
