Readme file for Foresite Command Center (C) Copyright 1994 by Ed Becker.
Foresite Command Center V.089 Beta Readme file
Requires OS/2 Version 2.1+.
: Known Problems:
a) If you change the pipe configuration, you must restart Foresite
before changes will take effect.
b) Some users have been experiencing problems with the last callers
and users online. PLEASE be sure to read FORESITE.DOC and make
sure everything is configured properly. If you still have problems,
send me netmail or leave me a message in OS2BBS A.S.A.P. I
think the problems are arising from improper setups, but I need
to know for sure!
c) Foresite will not work on the Warp Beta 2.99, but seems to work fine
in the GA release of Warp 3.0.
0. Introduction
Foresite Command Center was designed to make the lives of Maximus
sysops a bit more pleasant. Expect lots more improvements before
V1.00... Features such as a user editor, Personal Mail searches,
and a whole lot more are planned. If you have any ideas, see below
on ways to contact me.
1. Installation
Installation is relatively simple. If you are reading this, you
are halfway there already. Just copy SMART.DLL to your \OS2\DLL
directory (OR, if you prefer, just keep it in the same directory you
are running Foresite from.) and type FORESITE.
IMPORTANT: Please read FORESITE.DOC that came with this archive.
It contains important additional information for setting up and
configuring Foresite.
2. Next release:
I was late on this release, which I apologize for. Since I cannot
accurately predict when a release will be ready, your best bet
is to check the OS2BBS echo for an annoucement of new versions.
3. Volunteers?
Are there any volunteers to make this available on the Internet for
me? I don't currently have access due to severe $$ constraints, and
I have no local feeds. Please send me the FTP address where you
have made it available. Thank you.
