  5. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  7.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  8.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  9.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  10.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  11.  
  12.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  13.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  14.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  15.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  16.   Many, like ARK ANGLES and INNOVATIVE THINKING, also give added benefits to
  17.   users who register.

  20. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  22.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  23.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  24.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  25.   or cease to use it.

  27.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  28.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  29.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  32. WHY REGISTER?

  34.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  35.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  36.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  37.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  39.    o  a copy of the latest version of the program, plus
  40.    o  a printed manual, plus
  41.    o  a bonus program, plus
  42.    o  12 months support direct from the author, plus
  43.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  44.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  49.   Australian registration is A$30 shipped anywhere in the country.
  50.   International registration is A$34, US$26, £17.50, Dm45, ¥2800 shipped
  51.   anywhere in the world.  Wholesale and quantity discounts are available.

  53.   Registration gives a license for use of the program by one user or on
  54.   one machine, and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special
  55.   licensing arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere
  56.   there are multiple machines or users at the one site.

  58.   Updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the latest
  59.   version are available from ARK ANGLES or INNOVATIVE THINKING for just a
  60.   shipping charge of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  65. HOW TO REGISTER

  67.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  68.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  69.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or postal/money orders.

  71.   Credit cards will always be billed in Australian dollars (A$) so you get
  72.   the latest and best exchange rate.  Cash, cheques, drafts etc can be in
  73.   Australian dollars or your local currency.  Calculate local currency prices
  74.   from any of the published International prices at the current exchange rate.

  76.   There are four easy ways to register:

  78.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  79.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)592145 or (047)588100
  80.      for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-592145 or Intl+61-47-588100 for
  81.      International customers, and leave your ordering information with the
  82.      operator or answering machine.

  84.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  85.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  86.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there, then
  87.      fax it to (047)592145 or (047)588638 for Australian customers or
  88.      Intl+61-47-592145 or Intl+61-47-588638 for International customers.

  90.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  Include credit card details
  91.      or other payment and post to either INNOVATIVE THINKING at P O Box 47,
  92.      Lawson NSW 2783, Australia, or to ARK ANGLES at P O Box 190,
  93.      Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.

  95.   4. E-MAIL:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  96.      card information, and send it to 100237.141@compuserve.com on Internet

  111.   Support is given to unregistered users during the 60 day trial period, and
  112.   to registered users for 12 months.  This includes direct access to the
  113.   author and/or distributor by mail, phone and fax.

  116. SOFTWARE LICENSE

  118.   This product is licensed, not sold.  It may be freely copied and distributed
  119.   subject to the conditions in the VENDOR.TXT file.  Unregistered users have
  120.   a limited license to try out the program for up to 60 days without charge.

  123.   or users, for extended rights to copy, or for source code.

  126. WARRANTY

  128.   ARK ANGLES and/or INNOVATIVE THINKING warrant the physical disks and
  129.   related printed matter to be free of significant defects in materials and
  130.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  131.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  132.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  134.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  135.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  136.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  137.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  139.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or INNOVATIVE THINKING is
  140.   restricted to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of
  141.   the physical disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade
  142.   to the latest version.
