  4. I had messed with QuakeView back when the Deathmatch test (not an alpha,
  5. not a beta) was released but my heart (and mostly my brain) wasn't in it.

  7. This time, I was ready.
  8. A Saturday night jaunt to Next Generation's web site told me Quake was
  9. finally here.  (Honestly, I could care less.  My once speedy 486-66 doesn't
  10. cut it anymore.  But it's in video game common law that you have to be
  11. excited about Quake. ;) )
  12. As the US FTP sites laughed at my feeble attempts, I went to the motherland
  13. and snagged it off of a FTP site in Poland!  (The SKI is not referring to
  14. pieces of wood sliding in the snow.)
