Welcome to Modern Problems (version 05.017 MC 12/12/93).
In the directory that you ran MP-ARC.EXE, type in MP and you'll enter the
challenging world of Modern Problems.
There isn't much to say here because it's all in the game. With on-line
hints, clues, help screens and demo mode; all you need to know is provided
inside Modern Problems.
As with everything worthwhile in life, there is a learning curve. Part of
the fun is figuring out what Modern Problems are all about while you solve
the puzzles. We tried to keep it simple for the first time player and, at
the same time, provide flexibility for a person who becomes (over time) an
expert at the game. We hope you find it worthwhile to keep playing Modern
Problems long after you solve all 240 (120 on each of two levels) puzzles.
If you become really lost, read some of the help screens. And trust us;
we put a lot of effort into trying to create interesting, challenging, but
fair, puzzles. When in doubt, Click(!!) and read any messages that appear.
If you do get stuck anywhere....just Click(!!) the mouse buttons. We have
faith that you'll figure it out.
Have FUN...We hope you take the time to write us and let us know what you
think of Modern Problems. You can print out "regform.txt" at any time to
help you do this. We look forward to hearing from you.
Joe Cassavaugh & Malcolm Michael
