  19.  A few hundred years in the future, a ship with 1000 adventure-hungry human
  20.  colonists leaves the Solar System for the very first time. The ship, Terrae,
  21.  carries a special orange-blue Earth logo. After 2 years, all communication
  22.  with the colonists is lost ....

  24.  More than one thousand years pass. New colonists leave our planet but the
  25.  technology is much more advanced than the one used on "Terrae". One day three
  26.  mysterious ships materialize over Earth's largest city. The first surprise
  27.  to mankind occurs when the ships rapidly begin an assault. But the second one
  28.  is even more shocking. Someone notices the ships carry an old orange-blue
  29.  Earth logo...

  31.  This is only the beginning.

  33.  Through the game players will reveal more pieces of the plot. Why is his
  34.  task to convey a bomb? Why is he alone? And, who are the Conquerors?
  35.  Was "Terrae" captured by aliens? No, the answers are not so easy...

  42.  Katharsis shareware as a minimum requires:
  43.  a 486 DX2/66 or greater and 8 MB of RAM.

  45.  Pentium, 16 MB RAM and a sound card recommended.

  47.  2X CD-Rom drive (4X recommended) is required for the full version.

  57.  How to setup Katharsis under DOS/Windows 3.1:

  60.  It is best to run the game directly from Dos. Exit Windows 3.1 before
  61.  setting up or playing.

  63.  Run SETUP.EXE, set your soundcard and framerate, save and exit. Run
  64.  KATHRSIS.EXE.

  68.  How to setup Katharsis under Windows'95:

  71.  Click on "Setup" to configure your system for Katharsis.

  75.  1. Right click on the file "Kathrsis".
  76.  2. Click on "Properties" in the pop-up menu that appears.
  77.  3. Click on the "Program" tab (2nd tab in at the top).
  78.  4. Click on the "Advanced" button.
  79.  5. Check (by clicking on it) the "MS-Dos mode" box (third box down).
  80.  6. The program is now ready to play.

  82.  NOTE: It is not necessary to run Katharsis in MS-Dos mode, it is just
  83.  recommended.

  104.  The goal of the game is to protect the superbomb, but you do it only
  105.  on underwater levels. On space levels all have to do is survive (unless, of
  106.  course, you want to beat the high score :).

  117.  The shareware version of KATHARSIS is less than 20% of the entire game.
