  5. In order to set up Fund Manager, run "install" from
  6. the floppy diskette. (example: "a:\install")

  8. An overview, as well as all the documentation for
  9. Fund Manager is available by pressing F1 from inside
  10. the application.

  53. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  56. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  57. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  58. using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  59. differ on details -- some request registration while others
  60. require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  61. registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  62. using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  65. and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  66. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  67. programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  68. of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  69. and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  70. distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
  71. and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  72. specific group. For example, some authors require written
  73. permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  74. Shareware.

  77. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  78. whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  79. fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.

  97. Fund Manager is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  98. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  99. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  100. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  101. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  102. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  103. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  104. useful and find that you are using Fund Manager and continue to use
  105. Fund Manager after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  106. istration payment of $10 to Mark Beiley.  The $10
  107. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  108. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  109. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  110. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  111. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  112. being used at one location while it's being used at another.

  114. same time.

  117. copies of Fund Manager within 30 days of first use or their license

  122. first contact Mark Beiley at the address below for authorization.
