  1.                         New in Wterm 1.10

  3. This is mainly a bug fix release.  I recently found out that there was a
  4. problem with the Doorway mode in the released verion.  This is not a
  5. feature I have been personally able to test.  A user recently told me
  6. that when he turned Doorway mode on, he was unable to turn it back off.
  7. I tried it on the version I was currently working on and was able to
  8. turn it off.  Then I unzipped the release version and had the same
  9. problem he had.  It took a boot to get out of it.  At this point I am
  10. not sure how it got broken or at what point it was fixed but it is
  11. serious enough to release version 1.10.  This version is not as well
  12. tested as I would like due to my desire to get this fix out fast.

  14. This version does have couple of new features.    There is now a built-in
  15. mouse interface.  It can be enabled on the second page of setup.  The
  16. mouse is only activated in the dialing directory and from the help menu.
  17. The only real advantage over the Daryl's mouse menu program included is
  18. that you don't lose the mouse when you shell to DOS and run a program
  19. that resets the mouse for you.    Keep the mouse disabled in setup if you
  20. wish to use the mouse menu.

  22. One user requested the ability to send a break.  Control-End will now
  23. do that.  This is another feature I have been unable to test.

  25. Some changes were made to the comm routines to speed them up a bit.  I
  26. seriously doubt that you will notice any difference here (unless I broke
  27. something I am not aware of).  It was fast enough before since I lock my
  28. Forval V.32bis at 57.6KB with no problems.    My system is a 16 Mhz 386SX
  29. with a 16550 UART.

  31. One thing I have broken is the BIOS screen writes.    In an attempt to put
  32. a little more snap into the display of the dialing directory, I am now
  33. using a routine that draws the box and clears the screen using direct
  34. screen writes weither or not you have BIOS writes enabled.    If I don't
  35. hear to many screams I may well leave it this way and expand the use of
  36. this routine to save a few bytes of ram elsewhere.

  38. A new version of Tom Collins' WTCOLOR is included.  Some XT's had
  39. trouble with the last version and Tom has fixed that in this version.
  40. He has also added more mouse functions to this program.  I appreciate
  41. all the work Tom has done on this fine program.
