  3. Information about the AAF PIPER J-3 Cub  
  4.  
  5. Certainly a classic  aircraft, this AAF model is an effort to capture the 
  6. Piper J-3 Cub of 1946.  At least that it looks more like a J-3 than 
  7. anything I've seen to date.  I've retained the classic Piper Cub yellow 
  8. with the black stripe on the side of the fuselage.

  18. Perhaps someone out there can help solve some of the problems
  19. faced in developing this aircraft using AAF.  For example, when I 
  20. tried to add a prop circle, (for those that like them -- I don't), the 
  21. propeller would not show at any speed and the prop circle always
  22. showed in spite of the above/below RPM settings.  I can only 
  23. conclude that AAF only allows a certain number of nose pieces 
  24. and I had used two to show the engine on both sides.  The wheel
  25. struts tend to show through the wheels.  Possibly this is a result 
  26. of using "body main" yellow for the wheel struts and "undercarriage"
  27. black for the wheels with body main taking precedence over
  28.  undercarriage.

  31. by James M. Triggs, Modern Aircraft Series (Sports Car Press) 1963.
