  5. Note:  UBDuke never overwrites any CON files, so you can safely unzip
  6. ubduke.zip to your Dukev1.3d directory.

  19. Q: What the heck is this anyway?
  20.  
  21. A: Not a long time ago, I've written some Duke CON files for my enjoyment.
  22.    I realized that loading each and every one of them by command lines
  23.    is really a pain, so I wrote this little batch file to make life easier.
  24.    I've also included 2 of my CON files in this package.
  25.  
  26. Q: Well then, How do you use it?
  27.  
  28. A: Unzip ubduke.zip to your Duke (v1.3d) directory.  Run install.bat.
  29.    Then simply type "ubduke" to start UBDuke.
  30.  
  31. Q: What are those 4 selections for UBDuke? (4DOS Version)
  32.  
  33. A: Here is a brief summary of those 4 selections:
  34.  
  35.    1) Ultra Bloody Duke - Well, I added more gore and such to the game.
  36.       Moreover, I also changed some color palettes.  Look for the surprise!
  37.  
  38.    2) Single Crazed Match - This is my personal DukeMatch arena!  UBDuke
  39.       will prompt you for the episode (currently limited to episode 1 since
  40.       the retail version isn't out yet!) and the level number.  After Duke
  41.       is launched, you're basically ON YOUR OWN in the killing ground you've
  42.       just selected.  There, monsters will spawn quick and so do the items.
  43.       This makes the level a perfect training school for your DukeMatch
  44.       skill!  I strongly recommend E1L1 in the theater, and E1L2 in the open
  45.       area.

  47.    3) Multiplayer Ultra Bloody Duke - Frag on with UBDuke!  The original
  48.       setup.exe program will be launched.  Make sure your buddies have
  49.       UBDuke installed though.

  51.    4) Original Duke - Hmm... Don't think I have to explain this much...

  53. Q: Would UBDuke work if I'm using Duke3D v1.0/1.1?

  55. A: I would say it probably wouldn't work, but I've never tried it.
