BS>I'm thinking about writing a story on video games in the
BS>workplace and would like to hear from people who have
BS>had interesting experiences. Has anyone's
BS>boss walked in on them during a game?? At companies that are
BS>networked, are employees playing multi-player games like "Doom?"
BS>What kind of precautions do you have to take to get away with this?
BS>Also, if there are any game programmers out there, do you consider
BS>this when making your games. I know that some games used to have a
BS>"boss key" -- you hit f7 or something and a spread-sheet pops up.
BS>Is this still done?? (my game playing days have ended...) Do game
BS>companies try and make it easier to play games at work??
BS>Any help here would be much appreciated. Thanks,
I play games all the time at work (I work for myself) and the boss hates
it <g> I write shareware games and no, I don't bother with a boss screen.
There's no way that I could do one because there is no way to tell what it
should look like. A DOS prompt is out because most people use Windows on a
PC, and if I had a plane screen of windows with no applications loaded
Micky$oft would sue me <g> The plane spreadsheet screen never worked
because most bosses know what programmes should be running.
