The subject line pretty much says it all. I have been waiting for ID to jump
in and say something about the big overblown piracy debate that is
destroying this newsgroup. I am sick of hearing rumors that Quake will have
copy protection, and it won't be editable..yadda yadda yadda. I want to hear
FACTS from ID about how they plan to deal with it..if at all. If Quake is
copyprotected I will buy it but I will do my best to find a crack, because
nothing ticks me off more than having to find "word 26 on page 30 spelled
backwords looking through the red filter while turning the wheel to 9" or
whatever. And if it isn't editable I probably wont even buy it - I mean what
the hell am I gonna do with it after I finish all the levels...play again? I
don't think so. VR action games just dont have any reply value (with the
exeption of a deathmatch). And as for Doom 2, I am currently NOT going to
buy it because I have heard from several people (yes pirates) that it is not
THAT much of an improvement over the original..at least not worth being an
entire seperate game on your hard drive. I'm not saying I'm going to get a
pirated copy, I'm just saying that I am not going to buy it unless I hear
some mighty great things about it. Anyway, PLEASE ID, SAY SOMETHING!
