  12. I just downloaded the 1.2 -> 1.666 patch from cs.uwp.edu
  13. /pub/incoming/id and patched my game, but have already encountered
  14. problems. There are two kinds of errors:

  16.     1. Starting Doom and waiting for the demo makes Doom stop, and I
  17.            get thrown out to DOS with the message
  18.  
  19.         Demo is from a different game version!
  20.  
  21.     2. Going through the menu real quickly to avoid starting the
  22.            demo and be a victim of error #1 also gets me thrown out to
  23.        DOS, this time with the message
  24.  
  25.         W_GetNumForName: STTMINUS not found
  26.  
  27. I would appreciate any help on these matters
