I just downloaded the v1.666 shareware patch, and attempted to patch my v1.2sw.
It appeared to run properly, and DOOM fired up as it should have when I ran
it, but when it came time for DOOM to play the opening demo, it died, saying
that the demo was from a different game version. The question is, isn't the
patch supposed to update the demo as well, and how can I fix this without
d/loading and running the patch again?
(BTW, the patch was downloaded from ftp.cdrom.com, if that's important)
