  12. I just downloaded the v1.666 shareware patch, and attempted to patch my v1.2sw.
  13. It appeared to run properly, and DOOM fired up as it should have when I ran
  14. it, but when it came time for DOOM to play the opening demo, it died, saying
  15. that the demo was from a different game version.  The question is, isn't the
  16. patch supposed to update the demo as well, and how can I fix this without
  17. d/loading and running the patch again?

  19. (BTW, the patch was downloaded from ftp.cdrom.com, if that's important)
