I think you dont know what you are talking about. The Jag is pure hype
and has no games and its not 64 bit, It is 32 bit with a 64 bit data buss
path. True 64-bit CPU chips are not in the lowend computer market or
highend computer (PC) market and not available for video game systems, if
it was you would be paying thousands of dollars. The thing is Atari is
hyping their product (64 bit is better than 32-bit) when in fact there is
no software to say if the Jagaur is superior to any console, it is only
better in hardware spects, but thats it, oviously, this doesnt mean too
much, I mean look at Radien or Brutal Sports Football, they dont look
like anything that cant be done on a SNES. Like Atari says, do the math.
The Atari Jaguar is a failure, I wish it luck, but it has been left
behind and even if you get 15 titles (which would have to come from God)
you still would not make it. If you consider the Jag to be 64-bit, then
the PC would also be 64-bit as well (pentium) and its a lot faster than
the Jag (even without the special chips, tom and Jerry). Intel and HP
are working on producing TRUE 64-bit CPU chips and that is for the
mainstream. Resolution and color and speed are the major factors in a
game now-days, not if its 64-bit (I am pretending it to be your way here).
If you can have a game with 1280x1024 using 16.7 Million color palletes
(as an option) and have reasonable speed this would be towards the 64-bit
goal you are looking for. Of course the game would have to have more to
survive, ala gameplay, graphics, playablity, sound, etc... The Jag
offers graphics like the SNES and most are boring and lack most of the
above because of rushed titles, call it quits and get back to reality,
the Window for the Jags success has passed.
