  20. Hold on; this is very inaccurate.  Yes, both are 32-bit chips.  
  21. However, a 486/33 and a 386/33 run at the _same_ clock speed: 33 MHz.  
  22. The primary differences are that the 486 has an onboard 8K cache, most
  23. of its integer math instructions (and a few others I think) run in only
  24. one clock cycle instead of two, and it has a few extra instructions.
  25. The first two reasons above are why the 486 runs so much faster than
  26. a 386 running at the same clock speed.

  34. local bus and put some RAM into it and have an excellent DOOM machine 
  35. for a pretty low price.  If you like to kitbash, you could even upgrade 
  36. your old PC's motherboard...
