  15.         Well to continue this thread I was wondering if anyone out there has
  16. any idea how Doom ][ got leaked?  It was obviously someone at GT, and I assume
  17. ID will no longer do business with them.  Also I think ID, even though they
  18. will make money, they are losing lots of money due to this being leaked a 
  19. month before it was suppose to be released.  Has this occured before with a
  20. game..?  IE has a finished game ever been leaked this far before release 
  21. before?
  22.         Also I HAD a copy of Doom ][ , I got it when I heard it was out so
  23. I just assumed that it was shipped to those of us who pre-ordered it... Hell
  24. I did the day after I got that offer from GT.  So instead of waiting to get it
  25. when I go home I decided it would do little harm to get a copy off of someone
  26. and play it since I thought that I may have already owned the game.  
  27.         Since then I have deleted my copy and now waite in anticipation to
  28. be able to play it again.  Damn was it GREAT!!!!!!!!  Oh well I'll be bored
  29. with Doom 1 for a little longer and take advantage of all those wads.
  30.         But ID will lose money... there are now at least fifty people in my
  31. dorm alone with it, and who knows how many campus wide.

  33. And to ID  I apologize for my acts by "pirating"  Doom ][... I have too much
  34. respect for you guys and didn't know it wasn't officially released and so no
  35. harm as I thought it would of already been delivered to my house when I read
  36. that firsst message that Doom ][ was released on Usenet.  Man I can't imagine
  37. all the posts when it finally is released...
