You completely missed his point, which is, if you have it now and are
going to purchase it when it comes out, then ID loses no money
whatsoever. Sure, there are people that fit your category of deciding
later that they would not purchase it, or purchase it next time, or
whatever. But, that's not the point. He wasn't justifying those
people's causes, he was justifying those people who will 100% without a
doubt purchase it.
