  17. I doubt it, considering ID wants $50 for the minor upgrade.  Actually it
  18. was a major upgrade, but certainly didn't deserve to be called a sequel.  I
  19. think that there was some poor marketing on the part of ID.  They should've
  20. crippled shareware Doom more, and charged more for version 1.1; and then
  21. provided free/cheap patches.  But who cares.

  24. 99% of them are starving students.  If pirating were stopped, I doubt ANY
  25. of the pirates would pay $50 for the Doom upgrade so cleverly labeled 'Doom
