I doubt it, considering ID wants $50 for the minor upgrade. Actually it
was a major upgrade, but certainly didn't deserve to be called a sequel. I
think that there was some poor marketing on the part of ID. They should've
crippled shareware Doom more, and charged more for version 1.1; and then
provided free/cheap patches. But who cares.
Do you honestly think that even half of the pirates can afford Doom ][?
99% of them are starving students. If pirating were stopped, I doubt ANY
of the pirates would pay $50 for the Doom upgrade so cleverly labeled 'Doom
]['.
