>Pirates are scum.
What exactly is the criteria for scumhood here? I pirated Doom once upon a
time - I made a copy of a friend's registered version the day I ordered the
registered version myself. At its worst, piracy is one form of immoral act
among many - I'd hate to think that anyone who commits *any* immoral acts is
thereby scum.
>You have no respect for anything.
This is just factually incorrect. Even if you're talking about pirates far
more hard-core than myself it would simply be incredulous if they respected
nothing at all.

I don't have a copy of Doom II, but I probably would play it if I had a copy.
How can I be stealing money from ID if I haven't had an opportunity to buy it
yet? Admittedly, anyone who chooses not to buy the original because they have
a pirated copy *is* stealing money from ID (and I wouldn't do that from ID or
any company) - but that isn't a possibility yet.
