  10. Since I didn't see a FAQ anywhere........  (maybe I'm blind)

  12.     I've been told that you can do multiplayer Doom by connecting computers
  13. directly from serial port to serial port --- WITHOUT a Local Area Network or
  14. modems, etc. -- just the cord from serial port to serial port.  My roommate and
  15. I tried it (using the cord supplied by my college to hook our computers up to 
  16. the VAX, but instead of doing that we hooked them to each other) but my feeble 
  17. attempts didn't work.  If it is possible, could someone explain how to do it?
