  14. A friend and I are trying to get a game of NETDOOM going using WD8803e net
  15. cards. All is going well regarding playing over network PROVIDED that he
  16. disables his sound card - with sound card installed it won't work. The machine 
  17. get right through the initialisation phase but when it comes time to actually 
  18. display the screen, it stays at a black screen on both machines.

  20. His machine is a 486 SX33, 4Mb RAM, SB16, mouse on COM 1.

  22. My machine is DX2-66, SB-Pro, 20Mb RAM, mouse on COM 1 - works fine.

  24. In both machines, the sound card is on IRQ7 and the net card is on IRQ 5. Has 
  25. anyone encountered (and hopefully solved) this problem ?

  27. Secondly, more out of curiosity than anything else, when DOOM is loading why 
  28. does it always say "Wrong driver - No swift support" ?  What is swift support 
  29. and how do you enable it ?  What driver is required ?

  31. Feenally, Does anyone know how to start Deathmatch V2.0 mode ?  I can't get it 
  32. to work on 1.4 reg. version using -altdeath or -altdoom (as it says in the 
  33. FAQ). The highest version I have is the 1.6 beta version and it works fine 
  34. but I can't use it on PWADs. Is this feature part of 1.4 ?  If not, when will 
  35. 1.6 full version be available from ID ?
