  11. Apparently DOOM ][ has been pirated before it's planned release date.
  12. Someone fucked ID bad, but by the same token ID has apparently been
  13. naive in who they trusted with the game.  You can bet there's frantic
  14. squabbling going on now over this.

  16. When LucasFilm's BallBlaster and Behind Jaggy Lines were pirated,
  17. it hurt the games group, and reduced the number of games they did.

  19. Folks who believe in pirating software are going to do what they want
  20. anyway.  With these folks I won't try to argue, but...

  22. Many folks on the borderline, like myself, will download the pirate
  23. copy, *intending* to buy the registered version.  Please follow
  24. through and do so.  The money will help keep ID in good shape for
  25. cranking out Quake.
