DOOM II, Hell on Earth, is supposed to be a commercial product only. ID, as
I understand it, has shipped the master files to a distributor that is in
the process of copying the software and packaging it up for sale at your
local computer store. Pre-sales are mentioned here, but none are from ID
directly. There is no planned shareware release of DOOM II. They don't
need to entice us, ID already knows we like the game.
