Let's keep in mind that ID did not really put a plot into DOOM. It was an
intentional decision that resulted in one ID staffer's deciding to leave
over creative differences. Now we have a movie coming out, which will have
to have some sort of plot (albeit a thin one). Now what kind of plot will
they come up with? This is the same problem that another production company
faced with Super Mario Bros. and a story line was created. Two years ago
there was a SciFi TV show called Space Rangers, that only lasted through 8
episodes. It was actually a good show, and that would be the type of
universe that could create the DOOM scenerio.
