  19. John van Essen <vanes002@maroon.tc.umn.edu> has made up a very good proposal
  20. for an alt.games.doom split. Chances are that we'll move into the rec.games
  21. tree . John's proposal looks very promising, so please don't generate any
  22. new alt-groups for DOOM before John's solution isn't discussed on
  23. alt.games.doom (as far as I know, John's proposal will be posted to a.g.d
  24. soon). The DOOM newsgroups that were generated so far have been a real mess!
  25. Almost none of them have been discussed extensively on alt.config, so they
  26. are considered bogus by most site admins. According to John, even
  27. alt.games.doom is bogus, but many newsfeeds feature it because of its
  28. popularity ;-) .
