  12. Ok I think I have figured out a good recommended Doom setup. Of course
  13. everyone is different but after playing with various setups and talking to
  14. people I do believe I have figured out the best. This is all just an
  15. opinion so please experiment on your own as well. This is also for right
  16. handed people. This setup will let you play keyboard and/or mouse.

  18. Set up game for Mouse/keyboard play.

  20.         (These two are used for both mouse and/or keyboard only play)
  21. Ctrl - Strafe left
  22. Alt  - Strafe Right
  23. NOTE: Using the ones on the left side of the space bar of course.

  25. Then use the mouse and set:
  26. Right mouse button to forward. This will also open doors etc..
  27. Left mouse button for fire.
  28. This lets you move right, left, forward, backwards, fire and "USE" with the 
  29. mouse. The only keys you use on the keyboard are the Ctrl and Alt for 
  30. strafing.

  32. If you also want to use the keyboard sometimes for a break or instead of 
  33. the mouse, set up the other keyboard keys this way as well:
  34. Arrow keys for L,R,U and D and 0 on the keypad for fire. If you do not 
  35. like using your little finger for firing then maybe try the "Z" or "X" 
  36. keys and fire with your left hand. Still using Ctrl and Alt for strafing.

  38. This setup seems to work well. You could also use the keypad setup for
  39. arrow keys and "home" for fire.

  41. The mouse and strafe combo seems to really work well.
