Perhaps someone who is an expert doom user might now the answer to this one.
I just got the registered version 1.2 of doom and noticed the slight differences
between the registered version and PD version. One perticular change I observed
was with the AUTOMAP feature. When I brought this up it actually showed all the
monsters moving around, items, bodies etc. The PD never seemed to have this feature
Anyway I later d/l a few wads and patches off of an ftp site and ran them. Today I
was playing and I noticed that when I bring up the automap it no longer shows the
monsters on the map. My guess is that something was probably switched off when I
ran one of the patches or wads. Does anyone know of how this function is tuned on
or off, (maybe somewhere in the doom.cfg file??) or does anyone know of a patch or
anyway I can get this feature to work again. I thought it was a pretty nice feature
because I could observe where the bad guys were at from just looking at the map.
Any suggestions welcome.
