I'm just adding the finishing touches to a new wad, but I've come
across an error I haven't seen mentioned on here before. The PWAD
is very complex and it may be that I've just exceeded the limits.
Anyway, I was adding the only platform in level in and when I ran Doom
it worked fine once (and the monsters used it a few times), but then
it dropped out with an error: Adding Active_plats.
No plats available
(or something very similar to that). Has anyone come across this error?
Just for reference, when DEU is compiling the level, it reads:
691 vertices, 1047 sidedefs, 1120 segs, and 324 ssectors. Am I
close to the max number of any of these?
Also, since I'm posting this, a question I'd been hoping someone else
would ask: what are the current ways of adding sprites to a PWAD?
I've got AlienDoom and I saw how they did it, and I've used DMgraph to
patch the IWAD, but are there any other ways I haven't heard of?
Will the registered 1.666 patch take care of this?
Reply any which way you want... thanks.
