I have had the exact opposite problem. I couldn't run DOOM on my machine
(DX2-66/8MB). First the keyboard would lock up, then eventually it would
beep and lock up completely. I tried everything to solve the problem. A
couple of days ago, I installed OS/2. I was curious, so I started DOOM from
a full screen OS/2 DOS shell, and the damned thing ran perfectly. I've been
playing for a week now and haven't had a single problem. Now if I can just
get the multimedia support going..... (BTW, the PC speaker plays fine)
