  11. 1.  Modem problem.  My friend's 386/40 with a 16450 equipped 14.4k and my 
  12.     486DX/2-66 with 16550 equipped 14.4k are unable to play DOOM over the
  13.     modem successfully.  We are using the SER4 utility, and we get on and
  14.     we start playing, after about a minute or when the action starts going,
  15.     my term will die with "inconsistency failure -xxxxx (should be -xxxxx)"
  16.     and the xxxxx's are always different.  What's a dude to do?!
