  12. My CalCom 14.4 modem, connecting at 9600 baud, will not under any
  13. conditions yield the "connect 9600" signal that is needed for Doom to
  14. start when someone calls me.  It also gives a muffled signal upon
  15. calling other modems, and then refuses to connect well enough for Doom
  16. to run.

  19. AT &F %C0 \N1 \V1 X4 B8 \Q0 S0=1

  21. Does anyone have a CalCom out there who can successfully use Doom, or is
  22. this a case of where I must buy another modem (which I really cannot
  23. afford to do) because this is the one modem in the universe that has
  24. done its best to ban modem doom usage by sheer incompatibility?
