  19. The init string I use is simply:

  23. That's all. It turns OFF compression, OFF error correction, and forces 
  24. 14,400 straight baud rate.  Using this string against another player who 
  25. also turned off his compression and error correction, we play at speeds 
  26. I'd sure consider comparable to full network speed.  Rarely do we get 
  27. slowdowns.  With compression or error correction on, things actually tend 
  28. to slow down more.
