  13. If you don't have access to a local network you might want to try this.

  15. It is quite easy to make a serial cable bye oneself. Try it out. And
  16. its much cheaper.

  18. parts: 2 x female 9-pin connector, 5 x wires (say about 10 meters/30 feet)

  21.      connect wires on both connectors as follows:
  22.      1-4 (from one on the same connector to four on the same)
  23.     4-6 (from four on the same connector to six on the same)
  24.     2-3 (from two on 1st connector to three on 2nd)
  25.     3-2 (same as above)
  26.     5-5 (same as above) (signal ground)
  27.     7-8 (same as above)
  28.     8-7 (same as above)

  34. I've also tried making a 25-pin serial cable but I haven't got it working
  35. could somebody tell me which pins I should connect to which.
