In a previous article, xanth@io.org (Nuts) says:
>I have to say this about the GUS. It's MUCH MUCH better than FM sound.
>When you are playing you hear real sounding guitars and drums (about 4

I know that I am now leaving myself open to multiple flames, but here
it goes. Yesterday I just returned an AWE32 +Waveblaster Combor (I didn't
think I really had that kind of money to be throwing around) and picked up
a Gus and loaded it up with memory. Biggest mistake I've ever made. The
sound was terrible compared with an SB16!!! And that 180 degree thing is
crap...it makes all the sound come out unclear and not crystal clean like the
SB16's. And, the music...hah! Waveblaster kills it! Anyway, I'm returning
it today and picking up a good ole' compatible (Gus worked with none of my
other games) SB16.
