FYI, this is a known problem... the sound code in 1.2 and higher is
broken under OS/2, Win, NT, etc. So, you must run without sound, or
revert to 1.1, which works fine with sound.
The is a MM/DIVE port of Doom being worked on by some folks at
IBM... I've heard that it is a good way to completion...
